Special Projects: "The Beautiful Bunny Boutique"

As a small-town contracting company, it’s important to diversify our building portfolio to share some of the various and unusual home projects you may not have thought of before.

As usual, my wife Darla is the inspiration behind my niche evolution for special projects. I guess we can call it my “nich-evo.” Should we make that a hashtag or not? Eh, maybe not. Anyways….

As most wives do, Darla has her famous “Honey-do” list. From the continual conquering of this never-ending-task chart, I’ve developed the NICH EVO! (I’m picturing myself with a tall, white chef hat & bringing my hand to my mouth to kiss the air. “Muah!”)

These project planning “recipes” that have been developed are “per-fecti-ono!” (It sounds so Italian right?) Here are some of the latest SPECIAL PROJECTS I have worked on from my own Honey-do list that might spur your own ideas. Some of these I reserve only for my wife but others you may consider having us do for you:

  • Replacing windows in chicken coop

  • Reroofing out buildings

  • Building a fence around our garden

  • Building raised garden beds

  • Building a coffee bar

  • Installing kitchen cabinet drawers

  • Painting Kitchen cabinets

  • Remodeling guest house

  • Installing custom doors

  • Remodeling bathrooms

  • Remodeling kitchens

  • Installing special kitchen appliances

  • Refinishing countertops and installing custom sinks

  • Last but not least, building a bunny house (Please don’t hire me for this one)

“Funny” story about the bunny house - I didn’t want the bunny.

My son Paul thought it would be “HILARIOUS” to buy a bunny for my wife & I …without asking us. “Abra cadabra!” and just like that a live bunny plopped on our doorstep.

Again, let me clarify: This was without any warning and without a magic act.

My wife (of course) loved the bunny. Darla raced to the store to buy all the bunny basics while I begrudgingly began to plan the schematics for a rabbit hutch. It’s taken some time to adjust, but I can now anti-melodramatically report that “it” does indeed have a home and now a name:

Meet: Hare-iette.

Cute…huh?

Or maybe “yum!” right?

Naaa, I can’t have the bunny for dinner because I have slowly grown to…well… tolerate Harriette. My grandkids also seem to like the little French “home ruler” (Yup, that’s what the name means)

Most importantly, it makes my wife happy. I will say though, I made the “royal duchess” a full-blown luxury sweet. Hare started as a tiny fluff ball (Picture Snowball from “Secret Life of Pets”) & now she is a HUGE, fat, happy, playful, full-grown, (unfortunately non edible) rabbit.

I guess you can say Hare-iette is well adapted to her name sake (Darla’s grandmother-kinda).

In closing, let me re-introduce myself:

Hi, I’m Jeff from Jeff’s Good Works. I am the go-to luxury bunny real-estate developer in Bemidji. I specialize in designing small animal watering holes, detailing straw stacking, fabulous fox proof fencing & expert crafted rabbit roofing. If you’re in desperate need for your pellet dropping pet to have a safe, dry, clean, beautiful bunny boutique, I am the guy for you! (Just kidding, I’m officially retiring from bunny boutiques). However I will do some of the things (listed above) and much more for your own Honey-do list.
